Introduction

The Good Governance Protection Forum (GGPF) is a non-profit youth organization dedicated to social development. With a firm belief in the transformative power of young people, GGPF focuses on capacity building, skill development, and intellectual growth to uplift society's social, economic, and cultural aspects. By promoting sustainable development and mobilizing youth resources effectively, GGPF aims to bring about positive change in various areas, including good governance, human rights, youth, human trafficking, labor migration, employment, environmental conservation, climate change, reproductive health, right to information, and equitable access to education for marginalized youth. Established in 2007 (2064 B.S), GGPF is registered with the District Administration Office in Dang and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council in Kathmandu.

Mission & Vision

Mission: GGPF's mission is to actively work towards the creation of a just and inclusive society by advocating for social justice, promoting gender equality, driving sustainable development, safeguarding human rights, and empowering individuals and communities through education, capacity-building, and inclusive governance.
Vision: GGPF envisions a future where every individual, regardless of their race, caste, religion, or gender, lives in a society that upholds their rights, provides equal opportunities, and ensures their dignity. Through effective governance, equality, and peace-building initiatives, GGPF aims to address societal and economic challenges, foster sustainable development, empower women, conserve natural resources, eradicate poverty, and champion human rights, leading to a prosperous and harmonious nation.

Objectives

1. Empower youth to participate in policy-making across domains, ensuring their perspectives are valued and considered.
2. Cultivate a culture of labor and entrepreneurship among youth, providing resources for sustainable ventures and economic growth.
3. Advocate for good governance, social justice, environmental conservation, and the rights of women and children through monitoring and transparency.
4. Improve education and research, focusing on accessibility, quality, and relevance, particularly for marginalized communities.
5. Engage and empower youth in initiatives for environmental sustainability through awareness, capacity-building, and community involvement.
6. Utilize radio and television to raise youth awareness, promote good governance, and inspire positive social change.
7. Localize and implement SDGs in rural Nepal, tailoring strategies to community needs and collaborating for sustainable and inclusive development.
