A workshop on " Implementation of the Right to Information" was successfully organized on 25th June 2024 (Ashadh 11, 2081) in Kathmandu by the Good Governance Protection Forum (GGPF), with financial support from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of Nepal. The event saw the participation of journalists from various national-level media outlets. The workshop was chaired by Jaya Budhathoki, President of GGPF. During the event, Honorable Chief Information Commissioner, Mahendra Man Gurung, presented a paper on the legal framework and current state of the implementation of the Right to Information. Additionally, Dharmendra Jha, Chairperson of the National News Agency, delivered a paper focused on journalism in relation to mass communication and the Right to Information. The event had a total of 35 participants, including journalists, who actively engaged in discussions on the topics presented.
